btw, he likes to cast dispel magic. Haste your characters only after he does that.

Nono, Behlifet does not cast Dispel Magic. The Dispel Magics comes from the traps. Hence why I highly recommend that you have someone detecting traps 24/7 for this fight, as they are not disarmable and infinite. Behlifet only casts fire spells.

Well.... as best I can tell, Dundee and ZFR are both right: The last battle begins with a universal dispel, that I presume, from a role play point of view, comes from Big B. (I don't think the IGs do it.) However, after the initial dispell, Big B sticks to fire (as far as spells go). It appears that this is what ZFR meant, since he said, "Haste your characters only after he does that."

Also, you do not have to have a Thief or Cleric out in the middle of the floor constantly finding traps. Find all traps once. (Not once per round, or once per fight, but just once per game.) After you find them all, notice their arrangement in relation to the design pattern on the floor: you will see that the traps themselves make a simple symmetric pattern that overlays the floor's decorative pattern. Using this mnemonic technique, most folks will then be able to easily remember exactly where the boundaries of all the traps are, whether they are highlighted or not. (Now, remembering to move around them in the heat of battle: that might be a different story....)

Dundee, thanks for the arrows of piercing counsel: I had just assumed that ranged weapons were totally useless in this fight.
