Ah.. the good old days. Nothing is quite as much fun to play as a low level party. I still remember feeling like a god after I obtained wands of Summoning and Lightning. You could kill practically anything with those. Especially since there was no limit to the number of creatures you could summon.

I remember coming up with a countless number of schemes on how to actually kill Drizzt. Finally I decided the best tactic was to summon hordes upon hordes of monsters via the wand of summoning.

I remember the first time I dealt over 100 damage with a backstab.

I remember first discovering the amazing power of haste.

I remember getting pissed when I equipped the Ring of Free action on the same character who wore the Boots of Speed.

I remember the first time my characters had 5, yes count them, 5 magic missiles in all their glory.

I remember not having a patched TotSC and encountering some 10,000 Dradeel's. Because of that bug I will never forget his blasted line "Your not figments are you? I'm not wasting any more time talking to figments"

I remember when I thought the threat in the Nashkel mines was something truly frightening and mysterious.

I remember having to reload dozens of times when me and Imoen arrived at the Friendly Arm Inn.

I remember having my party completely destroyed by my two dire-charmed tanks.

I remember the first time my weapon broke due to crappy iron.

I remember what is was like to have to buy the "poor" rooms in Inn's because Royalty was too expensive.

I remember trying to count how many drinks it took to get Kaigan drunk.

I remember the double time stop. Man what a cheap move that was.

One of my fondest memories was finding out that some sort of treasure was hidden inside one of the chickens in the Umar Hills. I had read this in walk through and had never discovered it on my many passes through the game…and that walkthrough suggested pick pocketing said chicken for the reassure. Not being much of a thief I neglected to look to see just what Yoshimo’s pick pocket rating was…and he failed his attempt. I watched with amazement and terror as a half dozen chickens all turned hostile on Yoshimo.

I remember...

You must gather your party before venturing forth.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.

I remember the first time I was annoyed at Nalia for wondering how we were helping the less fortunate clearing out her father's keep.

I remember the rage I felt towards the buggy Jaheira romance, and the elation I felt when I got a little token that marked my progress in it. I also remember my relief when I realized that the Viconia romance was MUCH easier.

I remember fearing Kolbolds.
I remember fearing Skeletons.
I remember fearing Dopplegangers.
I remember fearing Shadows.
I remember fearing Liches.
I even remember fearing Dragons. Ah, to be inexperienced again.

BG1:

I remember when Full Plate Mail used to be an godly item.
I remember a time when fighters actually fought, and not mop up after spellcasters.

BG2:SoA

I remember punching a Dragon unconscious.
I remember punching Jon Irenicus unconscious.

BG2:ToB

I remember my solo Cavalier resting in the same room as Demogorgan... in the middle of the battle.
I remember my solo Cavalier gating back to his dark portal during his Improved Abazigal fight to recover before gating back to finish the fight.

Cheers.

I've been playing Tutu. That was only yesterday.

It's not the same, of course, but y'know what I mean.

BG1:
I remember wondering how on earth I could beat Mulahey and his skeletons.

BG2: SoA
I remember being dazzled by the bonus merchants.

I remember Six fooling me with his story about the use of the empty glass bottles. See this thread for more details.

I remember being terrified the first time I heard "Me will crush you, crush you to goo!"
I remember checking every nook & cranny, every barrel & chest, every thing I could in Candlekeep to get the most gold possible for my impending journey.
I remember how super cool Minsc was (& still is), and the elation & victory of slaying Gnolls & rescuing Dynaheir.
I remember how cool & holy the music in Temples is.
I remember "so I kicked him in the head 'til he was dead", and angrily kicking bandit butt in good measure.

I remember......

Do you remember if you left the stove on?

Hahaha Barry the Bard is full of those clever quips

But I do remember that when the character portrait was almost completely filled in with red that i began frantically clicking the mouse buttons and mashing keys on the keyboard. This was before I found the amazing cheat code that was the Space Bar!!

Absolutely I remember. All of it.

In fact I'm playing BG1 again right now.
