Cespenar Upgrades - Major Spoiler

Hi,

I have just completed "Watcher's Keep" and have numerious items that need upgrading by "Cespenar".

1. Sword Of Anguruada - I need Mercury?
2. Purifier Sword - I need "Eye Of Tyr Jewel"?
3. Dagger Of Star - I need 5 x Star sapphires
4. I need to find "Baalor's Claw", to make Axe of the Unyielding?
5. Scimitar ... Spectral Brand - I need scull of lich?
6. Hindo's Doom - I need Hindo's hand?
7. Storm Star - In need Starfall Ore?
8. Circlet Of Netheril - In need Bronze Loun Stone?

I would really apprecial the help.

Just play the game and you will find the items you need now. Only if you skip parts of dungeons and rush through you won't find them.

Take your time, you will find all of it. If we told you now, we would have to tell you half of the story and I'm sure you wouldn't want that

Not to sound demeaning, daz, but when one gets one's information solely from walkthroughs, one must expect to be a bit confused when it comes to the actual game.

The long and the short of it: The items that you find in Watcher's Keep cannot be upgraded until you beat Shadows of Amn and progress to Throne of Bhaal. DO NOT leave any important items in any SoA area (except Watcher's Keep). The map changes completely when you make the shift to ToB, so you will be unable to access ALL of the map areas in SoA. Either carry the items on your person (or various containers), or stash them in Watcher's Keep itself.

All I wanted was a little hint - isn't what this board is all about.

I frankly apologize for any offense, I can assure you that none was meant. My intent was (and always is) to encourage people to learn about the game simply by playing the game--it's more fun that way, and reading spoilers ("Take the whatsit to the little place under the thingy, and talk to whosie. Say veeblefetzer, and he'll give you a thingamajiggy") does nothing but ruin the satisfaction you could have had if you'd found those secrets for yourself. Besides, if one lives by spoilers, one can get very far in the game without ever gleaning a single clue on what it's all about.

As for playing the game without walkthroughs: So, then how'd you know what items were used in upgrading each weapon?

But I, too, seem to have forgotten my manners.

::raises hand:: Cespenar *does* tell you. Remember? He says things like, "Anyway, if you found Hindo's Hand, I can make sword sooooo much better. You have to wonder what happened to Hindo, hey?"
Otherwise, you wouldn't know what to look for...
