Well, I just got ToB, and I installed it, and then I went to play it. Now, because I'm too lazy to finish SoA again with my best character, I decided to create a new character. So I did. I went in to play the game, and started in the forest. When I go up and click on the stone heads, a lady appears, and talks to me. But the thing is, there is no dialogue. I can see her little picture in the dialogue box, and I can still click on options, but I can't see what the heck is being said. I kill her and continue on, and end up talking to other people, with the same problem. Any idea what's wrong?

Any mods installed before this? Are you fully patched?

I DungeonBeGone for SoA, and the Baldurdash pack for SoA, I believe.

Mm. And I assume you tried rebooting? Could it be a fluke?

You should have removed the SoA Fixpack before installing ToB. Refer to the Baldurdash website for more information.

Remove Baldurdash for SoA, then install the official ToB Patch and then the ToB Fixpack. Both can be found in the sticky in the SoA forum (mod list compiled by Icelus).

I had the same thing happen to me the other day, and I don't have Baldurdash for SoA. I had to reinstall everything and bring in my saved games. That's the only thing that worked for me.

There is no need to remove the Baldurdash Fixpack - the problem which caused the pre-TOB uninstaller to be needed is also fixed in one of the components of the TOB fixpack.
The no dialogue bug is fixed by the official patch.
