I've been playing SOA + Baldurdash patches for a long time now. I just recently installed TOB, over the SOA + Baldurdash install. I then installed the Interplay TOB patch, and finally the Baldurdash TOB patch and text update. I've started seeing some weird anomalies that make me think I might not be patched correctly. The current version display says 2.5.26498. I'm running it under Windows XP but I've searched over several threads that say that shouldn't be an issue... and it never was for SOA alone. I've also seen threads that say that the preferred install order is SOA, TOB, TOB Interplay patch, TOB Baldurdash patches, but haven't seen anyone specifically refer to problems with having the SOA Baldurdash patch installed prior to the TOB install.

- Disappearing items: When leaving Irenicus's dungeon, I noticed that a stack of 40 sling bullets in one of Jaheira's missle quickslots vanished upon exiting. I was actually able to repeat this error multiple times. Sticking another item (small stack of bullets +1) in the same slot caused it not to vanish.
- Screwed-up characters summoned from pocket plane: Jaheira and Mazzy were missing one proficiency point when summoned. Anomen was summoned in his pre-knighthood version, Lawful Neutral with no wisdom bonus. Those I thought could have been just glitches, but the whopper was Cernd. He actually had a mix of BG2 proficiencies (Scimitar, Club, Sling, etc) and old-style BG1 proficiencies (Large Sword, Blunt Weapons, Missle Weapons, etc)!

Any advice appreciated.

Interplay patch? I know that it is Bioware`s...

Anyway.. i suggest that you do full reinstall with Official ToB patch and Baldurdash fixpack.

If that will not work,do you have any other mods installed?

The Baldurdash page includes an uninstaller that will remove Baldurdash 'fixes' from SOA prior to installing TOB. However, it's located on the SOA page, not the TOB page

Since the uninstaller is *supposed* to refuse to work once TOB is installed (and may cause more probs if it does work) your best bet is probably a complete reinstall. This is the order I did it a few months ago and I haven't had a problem :

- SOA
- TOB
- official TOB patch
- Baldurdash TOB game text update
- Baldurdash TOB fixpack
- assorted MODs

Thanks both of you; didn't see the SOA Baldurdash uninstaller. Guess I'll re-install and see how it goes.

The uninstaller shouldn't be necesary. One of the TOB fixes says it eliminates the need for it. (And according to the page, the effects you described should not have been caused by this).

After reinstall, Cernd problem is still there. Not that I'm likely to have him join, but I'm more concerned about what other problems it might be symptomatic of.

Also, I noticed that Imoen as summoned to the pocket plane has only 95 open locks and 90 find traps. I know one of the Baldurdash fixes for SOA was to bump those values up due to her not having gotten the full Thief points allowed for level 7, so it looks like that fix is also missing now.

Couple more things I want to try, but it's not looking good...
