Viconia, and what to do with her

Hello! This has probably been posted a thousand times, but doing a search on the board for this topic didn't bring up anything useful that I could use.

I've played Throne of Bhaal through to the end, with Viconia, but failed to succeed in having a romance with her the first time. So, I finished the game, and started with a fresh character, and tried for the romance again, this time with a bunch of WeiDu plugins and the determination to see if I could make her love me,

... enough to change her alignment, as I've heard she can. But so far, I've had no luck, and I've played ToB from the beginning to defeating Sendai 2 times now in my current game. I'm almost ready to dump the wench, and thoroughly sick of ToB by now, but I refuse to give up.

The first time the romance was halted unnaturally by a bug from WeiDu's Cespenar (that damn imp). The second time, though, I've tried saying different things, and Viconia has been responsive, but STILL NO LUCK! I must be doing *something* wrong here.

Strategy guides are, generally, very vague and unclear on what to do concerning romances. And, I don't want a walk-through answer-by-answer spoiler. But I need a little help here! How many "lovetalks" have to take place between Viconia seeing her wraith-brother and the defeat of Yaga-Shura for her to have a change of heart? Is being nice to her not enough? Is it really random if she does change or not, despite giving her good answers? Do you have to insult her?! Any help would be appreciated.

I think you need to romance her through both SoA and ToB.

You can't romance her if you're an elf I heard. The only time I have romanced her is with a human character and it wasn't too hard...I don't think you would find it easy to go wrong like [img]smile.gif[/img] It did take a while though.

My character is human, and the romance started in Shadows of Amn, and is currently alive and well in Throne of Bhaal. But she WILL NOT SWITCH ALIGNMENTS. I've tried sleeping with her, not sleeping with her, being nice, being nasty, nothing. Sometimes she revels in the bloodbath, sometimes she says she'll try to rethink her views or not mention it to me. But SHE WILL NOT SWITCH ALIGNMENTS. I know I must be missing *something*. Any help still appreciated.

I personally managed to get her to change alignment in Watchers keep, after killing Yaga Shura and having been for a visit to this one village... What´s it called again...

Anyway, sometimes i admit i cheat the game clock by leaving the game running and go watch a movie and check back every 15 minutes... [img]tongue.gif[/img]
I have found that otherwise the love talk will only have started before i finish SoA and i believe the same would go for ToB...

Anyway, you can romance her with a half elf too, at least i did.
Although having 17 base charisma + this nymph cloak i stole from the shadow thief merchant at Maevars guild hall entrance makes for a nice 19 charisma; irresistible. [img]tongue.gif[/img]


And talking about charisma, would not it be better to have it be a sum of Constitution, Strength & Intelligence Minus X amount?

Constitution - Your looks, ugly peeps aint charismatic
Strength - Few people admire a man who cant lift a mug of beer
Intelligence - Village idiots are NOT charismatic characters...

well charisma is basically your ability to talk to people and influence them constitution doesn't neccesarily mean looks, its can mean endurance as well or how healthy you are. intelligence is understanding, but you don't neccesarily need to be smart to influence people, and example would be the stereotypical "dumb jock" that is the most popular guy in school.
as for strength, girls will like nonstrong guys, think of your stereotypical poet

To change her ways, you must show her the path of good. One important dialogue happens after you defeat Yaga-Shura. Remember the Trial of Wrath. There is a difference between fighting due to selfishness, and fighting due to selflessness. You must let Viconia see this difference and understand.

I have a female fighter with a Girdle of Gender to change her to a male, just to see what happends... lol Viconia started the whole romance thing anyway... will be fun to see what happends when I change her (my PC) back to female.

Hmm, i wanna know where is that meeting of wrath brother.cause if its near nylie in forest of mir, i had no romances since that time till destruction of saradush.A romance occurs when i destroy saradush and she tells something, but no matter what i say, her aligment is same after i stop talking.Now, i wanna know, do i have to load game back, or is it ok as it is?


Romance starts like this:
