22 days and 5 hours- help!

Hello all, not sure if this is a good run at this game before one becomes stuck or not. I sincerely wouldn’t want to be the first guy to get baffled so early in the game. A hint would be great and thanks for your help.

I have spoken to the Cromatic Demon and took it up on a quest. Here is my status:

I have 2 notes, several books, 2 tattered parchments, and a slime scepter.

The fan is on full speed and un-adjustable to the touch also very powerful in nature. It picked me up and blew my armor clad fighter clean through the unlocked gate!

My journal only relates to turning the fan on and possibly adjusting the setting at a later time. I have access to all the labs except the fire lab. I have searched for a key everywhere and nothing.
I think the clay ice golem may have it but none of my weapons have even scratched it and the ice baddies. I still haven’t been able to open the door via slime side either.

Think about the various differing elements, and how they can be used against each other. They're difficult in the extreme in their own environment, but if you can change it, they might be vulnerable.

well, you should get all the notes (four of them) from the libraries first and then go to each room for scepter. I think, if you read through all four notes together, it'd be easier to figure out how to deal with each room and the monsters within.

Ok, great fighting sequence! Thanks all but I have one mad Cromatic Demon running around after myself and the girls now. Seems like the most damage I can do to it is 2 points and thats it.

Bad Demon! Greater Whirlwind attack barely injures it with Holy Smite backing the blows - hmmm time to re-group and rest at an inn

Try using spells or items that do elemental damage (FOA, Ice Star etc)

do a search, you'll find out what's with this Demon.

a hint though, the demon has very high weapon resistance (GWW won't help you much if you didn't attack him with right weapons). don't fight him with brute force.
