Theyre Dead All of them

I cant believe it. I got bored and installed tactics and accession and put the diff to insane. Then I went and grabbed My kensai Mage (levelmaxed) My cavalier (2 levels shy of max) My Archer (max) My sorc (level19) My Fighter Thief (had to be bupped to tob points)An my tank fighter (level 21. I thought it might be fun just to mess around in tob. Boy was I wrong. They didnt last past Illysara. I dont know if it was just the mods or if things change depending on level characters for the mods but it was over quickly not even 3 rounds went by. The black reaver archer esque character mauled me. My Pally had about 170 hp and an ac of -16, I moved him to whirlwind the archer as I could get there quickly with the boots of speed. He made it 2 steps and died instantly by arrow. =( I dont know how that happened. My fighter similuaricum'ed himself via skull helm and teamed with my hidden fighter/thief to try to slow down that walking behemoth not sure what creature it was looked like a huge cambion hit harder though. Tore open the simi and fighter quicker than i could react. Each hit did 100 dmg to me =(. It gets worse, youd think the kensai mage would be able to slow this down right....nope he exploded via scary backstab dmg. Oh yea the sorc lot of help she was she died soon as people went hostile not sure how but she was dead before her contingencies kicked in. It was pretty unsettling, especially since my cavalier had solo'ed through the improved fights ill to gromnir (not on insane though) Scary any tips?

(edit: ^_^ actually i just beat it, dual dragon breath knocked out the archer then it was all easy. Still scared me to see so many high levels die out quickly)
