It's been awhile since I played ToB and one thing I recall and could never figure out the answer to was this: when you're given the cloth in that desert city Amkethran, where is the clasp or whatever it is that goes with it? I remember looking everywhere for it but never found it. Please tell me its not in Watcher's Keep...

... 4th level, in a container on a ship in the Githyanki's encampment. Remember that fight with the Githyanki Captain? Directly above him is the bow of a ship, use the Tab key to help you find the container.

container pretty easily on my first trip through the Keep, so it should be easy for you, too. Odd that you describe it as the "bow of a ship," not a "Dragon's mouth," Dundee. (What I hated about that room is that I found the Clasp without even looking, and so could create an item I thought was fairly okay--a decent item for Jan to use. But, lost in that horrific tangle of bodies, I couldn't even find the Captain's corpse, and so missed something that I'd been keeping my eyes peeled for.

I described it as a ship because if you click on the description, you will find out it is a ship.

Yeah, similar to the one in Chapter 4--but I just can't picture either of those things floating.

i never even pictured that ship on water
i just assumed a ship made from a dragon's skull would fly
come to think of it - didn't the githyanki pirates jump from a similar ship in SoA {just before the kuo-toan city}..?

Kill him and find out. (Actually, I was hoping to steal whatever cool exoskeletons those Githyanki have that makes them look all bony. They'd be great for Halloween parties.)

Spelljammers fly dont they? And move between the planes?

In any case, I dont think they float in the conventional sense.
