Simulacrum? Simulacrum clones are 60% of the original caster's level. Since the spell level cap is 20, the clone is level 12( which means he/she is incapable of casting level 7 spells, let alone level 8).

It can be done with Project Image though, but the clone of the clone is spawned naked( as in no equipment), as are all subsequent clones.

Hmmm...that was my unpatched version a while back, about a week after SoA came out. They may have fixed it by now in the official patches. I'll go and check.
