lol, Solo as beastmaster gets easier in ToB because of Club of Detonation, and Staff of the Ram. Either of these badass weapons REALLY rock. lol, use club of detonation with another club for best results... damage kinda stinks by itself.

IMO, druids have a leg up in ToB. If you imported from SoA then you should have the Staff of Woodlands, (3 AC bonus, plus barkskin, plus it summons, plus it's a +4 weapon). Staff of Ram does more damage, but perhaps it depends on your PC. If your druid is high level -which it must be, if if you have staff of ram- then it's purely a personal choice.
Are you defensive or offensive? If you're defensive, use staff of woodlands. You take minimal damage. If you're an uppity druid, take staff of ram. Either way, you have ironskins. Perhaps I'm prejudiced. I have a dual fighter-druid in ToB, and she does 90% of the combat while the rest of the party sits on their hands. Grand mastery in staff, plus she wears full plate armor. Personally, I don't think druids should be allowed to wear full plate. One of these days I'm going to solo with a dual fighter-mage. Max out in staves, and then after I funk my way into getting the staff of magi, I won't even need to cast spells. Invisability, 2 Bonus to AC and saving throws, plus PfE and spelltrap. Even a single class mage could melee his/her way through the game with that weapon. |

lol, just make sure you don't overcheese with the staff... IE go invisible, then hit enemy and go invisible again so they can't hit back... ect ect.
![]() Kensai thief with Staff of the Ram is pretty funny too. ![]() |
