Best Weapons in BG2 & ToB

Well, how about it. Also, how about the most overrated weapons in the game?

Long Swords:
Best-Blackrazor, Daystar, The Answerer, Angurvadal +5

2 Handed Sword- Carsomyr, Improved Sword of Grief

Others:
Staff of the Ram, Foebane, Dagger of Stars, SPECTRAL BRAND! (Finally, a good Scimitar for Jaheira. Belm was ok for BG2, but this was long awaited...)

The difference between this and the Silver Sword is that there is NO SAVE against decapitation (which usually results in death, duh).

my fav missile missile weapon is the Firetooth Crossbow +5. dont know exact stats, but it creates its own +5 bolts, and does 2 firedamage. this may not seem like much, but i like to couple it with Keldorns whirlwind attacks . and the most overrated is the Holy Avenger. i mean, everyone says its like some kind of godsend to the realms, but its not even that good anymore that its been matched and surpasses by many weapons. dispel magic isnt that great, and an inquisitioner can just cast it in a fraction of the time anywyas. the 50% magic resistance can be achieved with the special ability Resist Magic, rendering it only useful for prolonged fights and if your an inquisitioner, it shouldnt take more than 4 rounds to kill one or three mages. also, the Protection Scrolls cant get through that magical resistance either! i know this, cuz once Keldorn tried to cast Protection from Undead to beat Kangaxx into the ground and he resisted it!

One of my faves in ToB is that fabulous two-handed sword +5 "Psions blade" which grants immunity to confusion and mind flayers attacks. A perfect weapon for Sarovek to single-handedly mow through Umber Hulks, mind flayers, Mycanoids, and other mind altering foes. Plus its the first +5 2-handed sword you come across in the game.

I still think, Crom Faeyr is the best weapon in the game! strength 25 is very good. I dualwield with runehammer +5, and nothing stood in my way...

for me, it will always be the staff of the magi. When you are Figh-mage, inv at will, cast spell trap once per day and this weapon does dispel magic and it hits as a +5 weapon .. Any mages can't target me when I clik on the staff And I laugh at them all the times.. Till true seeing is casted.
