I need some advise about a choice to make. Read only if you have started the game.

I posted that, because I did not want anyone to come in skimming over the topics and see the Sarevok connection with the story.
My problem. I am in my little pocket plane, trying to decide if I want to grab Sarevok. Here are my optional good things and bad things.

1. Will his alignment hurt my relationship with any other party members, especially Aerie's romance?
2. I am sure that Jaheira will like a drop down in rep. from 20 to whatever will make her more comfortable.
3. He agreed to take a vow of service.
4. He may be a great fountain of knowledge and help.
5. I may get some good dialog from him.
6. It seems like the thing I would do, if I were really there.

Now, as you can see, I have found only one question that may jepordize the rest of my party's reaction to him joining, and most importantly, I want to finish the Aerie romance.
I would now be very grateful for your opinions AND facts that may help me decide. I shall not play the game again until I have decided. (so hurry the flip up!!!!)

I haven't played the game yet...but me personally? I have Valygar in my party and I'm ditching him first thing for Sarevok.

Oh...I did not mention my party composition.
Me (Ranger)
Minsc
Jaheira
Aerie
Mazzy
Imoen
I am thinking that Mazzy is the one that could be replaced. I mean, Sarevok has a Grand-Mastery in the two-handed sword, where Mazzy has the Grand-Mastery in both the short sword and the short bow.
I would not consider ginving up anyone else, unless you can convince me otherwise. (And it has to be concrete evidence, not some lousy, "well, she sucks" personal opinion.

OK, i started the game, but i was finishing my bg2 game in watchers keep (the add in place) and the pisser is that i cant seem to get through a part. did you skip right into the expansion?

larry_OHF i had a very similar party, (nalia instead of mazzy)

i dumped minsc for saravok, nary a peep from anyone, aerie romance continues!

if you use minsc as a two hand swords char, then i'd dump him for saravok. i'll miss boo. (it's def. an upgrade)

my gut says dump mazzy since your ranger should be able to take up the slack in ranged combat and let the two maniacs tank.

My friend had a romance with Viconia, but when Saverok join party, she started to flirt with him, havent seent he result yet, but watch out for that part

allowing Sarevok to join your party will have no effect on your party. your npc's are loyal to you at this point, and wouldn't leave for such a reason.

I've got an evil party so the choice took me a second tops.. Korgan now watches from the sidelines...

And without spoiling, from playing for a few hours, Sarevok is AWESOME! Has some good dialogue too... Jan was making fun of him and he threatened to kill several times.
