I'm using the three evil characters, and adding the ToB NPC once I reach ToB, but I don't know what to make the PC character, or who else to include in the party.

? PC
Korgan
Viconia
Edwin
?
? > ToB NPC

I'd take an Undead Hunter as the PC, but the Lawful Good thing doesn't really fit. It's the only interesting class I can think of right now.

Edit: Maybe Jan and a Swashbuckler?

you do seem a bit thief light, you could try a fighter thief multi, or dual class, as you dont need a huge ammount of theiving, although it does help, so dont misquote me here.

Slight spoiler:

i guess you could take anomen, you already have a cleric, but anomen can be a back up to korgan Until TOB. If you take anomen, after a while he will be recalled to a few tasks at his family hom ein the government district, somehting about his sister being dead. you are given the option to either kill who his dad thinks is responsible or leave it to the authorities. Its obvious which is the evil path. after a bit longer he will be judged and his alighnment will change, however his stats DO NOT, unlike if you chose the good side, where he get a boost to his WIS score i think.

As you are without a thief I would go with a Swashbuckler or an Assassin. I finished the game a few months back with a PC Swashbuckler and he was an absolute stud the higher his level. I am using an Assassion in my group this time around and the ability to poison weapons is very handy.

Peace, John.

IMPORTANT: If you want to play an Evil party, do NOT be a single-classed Thief. The quest that is arguably the most Evil in the game is offered to you by a woman who does not like Thieves: If, at the time you talk to her (roughly 25% of the way through SoA), your main character is a single-classed Thief (does not have any active levels in the Fighter, Cleric, or Mage classes), she will NOT have anything to do with you. So while a Neutral Evil Assassin is indeed a very nasty roleplay, you will be forced into taking a (relatively) Good stance unless you Dual-class before you talk to this woman.

I would suggest you add Jan to the mix--he's Neutral, and he's easily capable of being your only Thief. You yourself should be some type of Warrior to help Korgan out....for roleplaying reasons which I won't go into, I advise you to be either Human, Half-Elf, or Half-Orc.

timothy trotter, it's all well and good to label your spoiler, but A) it's about something that Epilepsy didn't ask about, and B) the information you provided doesn't help anyone. In an Evil party, Anomen would be purely redundant next to Viconia, and while his personal quest does indeed have an Evil path (as most things do), it doesn't make the man himself any more worthy to be in Epilepsy's party.

six of spades: A) There were question marks as his party slots, and hints in his writing that he may have wanted suggestions, as you did by suggesting jan, so if i make an irrelevent post, so is yours. B) it changes his alignment, so it is relevent, and he can fight better than viconia can, so he would become much more powerful at highter levels...

You can cheat your way past the no thieves-thing by temporarily shadowkeeping your class to something else. I did it once, and it caused no adverse effects I could notice.

If you want a pure evil party, consider starting a "multiplayer" game (playing it by yourself only) and having edwin, viconia, korgan and three custom made characters. otherwise anomen, jan, haer'dalis seem good choices. and for your PC consider a sorceror.

When I played, my evil party was:

PC sorceror
custom made monk
edwin
viconia
korgan
jan

I didn't take the ToB NPC.

Having three spellcasters (sorcerer, edwin, jan) was amazing.

If you want to take the ToB NPC, consider same party as mine only take anomen instead of monk to be substituted for ToB NPC later.

This way in ToB you'll have two excellent tanks (korgan, ToB NPC) both of which are so powerful, each could tank alone by himself, a cleric, good thief skills from Jan, and very very very very good arcane magery.

Spoil all you want, I've beaten the game already.

I'll hold off on the evil party for now. I'd like to change my request to the party with the most interesting banter.

I'm assuming it'd include Minsc, Korgan, Haer'Dalis, and Jan, but I'm at a loss as to who else it'd use.

I'd also like to use Imoen, Viconia, and the ToB NPC. Would a party made up of these work?

Swasbuckler/Mage
Minsc > ToB NPC
Korgan > ToB NPC
Haer'Dalis
Jan > Imoen
Viconia

Either Minsc or Korgan would be replaced in ToB.

The only person I'm set on keeping is Viconia. As for the others, as long as the banter's amusing, I'll take anyone.

To add to this, which a) romance and b) alignment do you think is most interesting?

jan certainly has some interesting banter, it can become annoying after a while though, i find. Minsc does not talk a huge deal.
imoen has a few good talks with the tob npc

Aye man I'd stick with Viconia reckon her romance is definately the best maybe cos I cant really stand the others. As for alignment I generally play evil characters and find their banter is the most interesting Korgan especially.
