After giving the acorns to the dryads in the Windspear Hills, I then killed them all, since I was feeling particularly evil at the moment. One of them had on her the dagger described in the title. It's a +2 dagger, with no special abilities, besides its name and an extra description. Does it show up somewhere else in the game, or is this another one-time oddity hidden away in BGII like the dagger found on that certain character from R.A. Salvatore's books you can CLUA in?

Well, that dagger was from the original BG. Didn't know it was also there... That's interesting.

That IS interesting. I've never played BGI, so I hadn't known that.

Sir Degrader: Hmm, well, I basically finished it to kill them. My character is NE and there wasn't much else to do in the area.

You evil person! I've never even thought about killing the poor dryads.

And sir degrader, you have to go to where the dryad queen is for another quest, so its not really much of an effort to finish the quest.

I always finish that quest. It's just a minor detour.

If you do the Jaheira Harper Quests it shows up at the Harper Compound too. Some assassin has it.

It also has multiple occurences in BG1. Both Marek and the Revenant quest will/can yield a dagger +2 "Heart of the Golem".
