How about Irenicus and Bodhi? They both have geranium in their cranium.

Neb is most definately a nutcase.
And I was wondering how many of you pretend to be a nut to get into spellhold?

Since we all know Minsc is DEFINITELY "out there", how about branding his poor hamster companion as the nutcase and purveyor of Minsc's delusions?

Not sure if he really counts, but I love the ghost of the priest in the watchers keep - he rises from the dead and screams something like "I will consume your soul for desicrating this place... oh, you brought my slippers, how nice...."

always gets a laugh that one

--- SPOIL WARNING: BG1 CONTENT ---

Dunno about Tiax. I know both him and Dradeel from BG1. Dradeel suffered the worst of fates for a mage. His spellbook was caught behind a screen of monsters. Without spells he could not get past the monsters and without spellbook he could not cast spells so he was trapped in a hut for centuries. Eventually he started making recipies. "Belladonna rolls. NOTE: Avoid this recipe in the future. Extremely poisonous. Remember the week on the kitchen floor." When you bring back his spellbook he will yell "At last! Freedom!" and teleport.
Tiax was allready megalomanic, though he was a cleric/thief and no mage. If you clicked him continously he would give his "when TIAX rules the world he will make underwear not go up so wegdelike" speech.
I like Dradeel more because I knew more about Tiax' lunacy. It is just extremely funny to watch a distinquished Tethiran elven mage gone nuts because he had to stay for eons trapped on an island with lycanthropes.

Only recently I noticed that it is Dradeel that telepathically informs you about your success in the Cloakwood mines. When you exit after unplugging the waterblock there is a section that informs you about what happened. The speaker is Dradeel though (obviously) not present at the location. Why and what is going on I cannot say.
