so its gonna be 12-1 am on friday morning or saturday? also i dont nessecarily want cleric, just didnt see any mentioned, so if ranger cleric is in group id probly be better off with mage/thief, either multi or dual. id probly go multi for multi player game. and which 3 mods? i see ascension mentioned a few times other than that i dunno. i like tactics for one, but there arent many other mods that i havent had problems with.

for you BP it is friday midnight.. since you are in the -8 (-9) region

is everyone ok for a group split? but those who are not interested do back out now so we can fix the times.

Ascention is about the only mod I'd play with..

Maybe unfinished busness as well, but ease of use is well simply put cheating IMHO..

Same goes for item upgrade, spell 50 and the XP cap removers.
we can debate on some things like spell 50 (since I consider mages to be overpowering in the first place and works both against and for the enemies)

tactics mod may be abit tricky and may cause countless grief for the group reloading all the time (which is pretty annoying). i dont mind tactics included but only in TOB or later stages in the game where the group is already strong enough to handle itself.

Tactics is an anti cheese mod, now cheese is dead easy when your single player, your able to use your whole party to do exactly what you want..

Online it's a bit diffrent, you won't get people doing what you want when you want it unless you pause every few seconds.

I am realy aganst Ease of Use, item upgrade and mods of that vien. They change some fundimentals of gameplay which for people who don't play them can be shocking, or in some cases deadly..

Now unless each partys going to cheat a rod of resurection I'd suggest core rules, UB because it's not OTT..

Spell 50 is just crazy, some spell's are meant to cap out at 10th level, others are meant to cap at 20th but it's a crazy mod that scales all spells that can scale.. Which is why I don't like it..

Sorcerers are overpowered, Mages can become very powerfull when under the effects of defensive spells and they have a good selection..

A party mage is diffrent from a power mage, a party mage can make a whole party strong enough to win an encouter, a power mage will ignore the plight of his party and kick everyones butt, then complain when everyone else in the party gets badly wounded..

Same goes for clerics and druids, to a lesser degree on the power side.. If you ignore the rest of the party your realy quite powerfull, but your better for everyone if you utalise buff spells..

I'd suggest not having a pure fighter as the bhaalspawn, reloading can be such a drag, you can take upto 8 level's of fighter, 10 of theif and still reach the level cap for mage..

i suggest the best for bhallspawn is the one who can hide or be in the back lines like either a mage or thief... or archer

thats cool indeed . i dont mind playing core rules with acension. tactics well it has to be a group decision.
im now thinking of playing wild mage to be honest oh thats going to be fun

how about adding other classes? it would be interesting as long as they are balanced and of course with group decision once again.

I've yet to see any kits that are truly as well ballenced as the standard ones, they either tend to be overpowered totaly (shapshifter reballencing? Archer fighter kit?)

Or have weaknesses that have to be made up by the rest of the party (Sharpshooter thief?)

There are some realy crazy kits and races out there (Vampire? Half Vampire? Liche? anyone..)

So how's about just default stuff to start with, because we don't know what sort of players we're getting lumped with (I might be a mad power gamer for all you know), after the first session if the individual groups want to add mods then that'd be the time to do it. (though I've completed SoA in less than six hours)

cross them bridges when we come to them.
