Six brings up good points, however the question is not if a solo Amelysan can beat Improved Irenicus in hell.
A more appropriate question is, and I believe this is what was possed please correct me if I am wrong, can (Improved) Irenicus beat Amelysan at the throne of blood. There fore Amelysan should get all of her Slayer Shadows and her Fallen Solar. Could Irenicus win, of course he could many people have beated the Ascension finale with a solo spell caster. But would he? I think not, but that is just a opinion.

Even if they were at the Throne of Bhaal, and Amelyssan got her Slayer Shadows and her Fallen Solar, Irenicus could just summon up his demons that he had in hell to deal with Amelyssan's pets.

If you are going to use Improved Irenicus. Be nice to the lady and let her use her "Ascension-OMG-Powerup" mode. If II can have the Orb of Fear as his buddy, Amelyssan can have her 'good' friend, Abazigal.
