I especially liked the "dialogue" you added for Beatrix....it gave a feeling fo chill and suspense to the battles.

I know what you mean about it taking so long to write up such a story. I am attempting to chronicle the adventures of my solo bard in the same manner, and it takes a LOT longer to write about the battles than it does to actually fight them. I am about 3 or 4 quests behind in my writing, so I actually have to stop and take a break from my game if I want to try and "catch up" the story of his adventures so far.

If you are going to call a sword a "Sword of Backstabbing", then it should give thieves an advantage when they try to backstab.

I still like my assassin's sword though. I can't remember the name of the member that made it, but I created specifically with my assassin in mind (even though I had not actually started his game yet). I've always considered it to be like a family heirloom, which is one reason he still prefers to carry it even though he has better weapons available.

Of course, with the Mods installed, he has also become extremely fond of dual-wielding the Stiletto of Demarchess with Torgal's Claw or Pixie Prick. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing your victim fall to the ground asleep or helplessly paralyzed after a successful backstab (provided they actually survived the backstab to begin with ).

i've just recently fought the same fight in the same way with my solo monk (except that about 5 of the guards died in the cloudkill trap - i liked the 'story' side of that but i mourned the lost XP )

if you want to ration your arrows of dispelling (there are no more in the whole game) it is possible to duck in and out of stealth knocking off stoneskins with normal arrows until they're gone - it takes a while and looks a touch unrealistic the way it happens in the game (you have to imagine a bit more activity on the part of the mage really) but it's possible

I found anothe problem for my assasin. Each time also, i'm going to give a rp feel by giving the reasons of an evil assasin taking good aligned quests, after i explain the problem.

Prebek and Co --- The trouble was, i couldn't just step inside and fight the battle as a normal assasin would, or even a warrior, becuase of their hold spells etc. I found this farley frustrating.
SOLUTION --- I lead the golem outside (using UB's restored Xar's creations for necromantic enemys) and he walked onto 3 snares. Dead Golem.
Getting the rest dead was another problem --- I maanaged to then lead Prebek and Sansha outside, and the traps only hit 1 out of 2 of the mages. I then couldn't dispell the last mages stoneskin intime before he cast lightning and all the commoners in the area went hostile towards ME.
SOLUTION --- Who gives a monkeys behind about 2 of 3 commoners, if i have to be hated and maybe kill a few gaurds, so be it.


Roleplay reason for taking the quest --- Beatrix had found a poisoned man, and as she is a huge fan of poison, agree'd to help him. He was a harper, and then she met an old colleuge, Xar. The necromancer told Beatrix, that his friend, Monty, had gone inside the harper hold and hadn't returned. Beatrix agreed to look for Monty, being as he his a fellow halfling rouge. One thing led to another, and to aid the halfling, she found herself deystroying Xar's creations.
