I forget, whats the bonus' for high con in regards to regeneration?
I remember in 2nd edition p&p having regen around 20 con I think, But I cant seem to find anything about this in bg2.
Anyone know?
cuz Im starting over in TuTu with an elf for the extra dex, but if I can find out more about regen, I may stick to human for the 18 con.

You're correct, natural Regeneration through Constitution starts at 20 CON. It's quite slow, however--something like 1 hitpoint every 10 rounds. This is quite good in BG1 (I personally love using Kagain due to his ability to regenerate back to full health every time we Rest or travel between map areas), but becomes quite obsolete in BG2, when there are other, much faster, means of Regeneration available.

A CON higher than 20 means you Regenerate faster, but it's still nothing to write home about.

Regeneration rates do not stack. Slow Regen + Fast Regen = Fast Regen.

Six - can you please clarify that point about not stacking - Does that mean that there is no advantage to wearing both the ring of gaxx and the ring of regen?

That's may be exactly what he means. Not sure myself though. Oh yeah, check out the link in his sig. You're sure to find most answers you may want to find.

That's right. If you wear slow regen + slow regen=faster regen. Slow regen + fast regen= fast regen. Fast regen + fast regen= very fast regen.

Hold on a sec. From what Six says there is not advantage to doubling on regen. items, but from what you, Lord, have stated there is most certainly a distinct advantage to wearing multiple regen items.

i think he is saying that they only stack if they have the same regeneration rate. Ergo, two rings of gaxx would each have the same regen rate and would therefore stack.

Correct, they only stack if the Regen. rate is the same.

From what I've heard, the fastest possible Regen rate is gained by having a 20+ Level Wizard cast Improved Haste on you, and your high-level Priests cast multiple doses of Regeneration.
