There is a guy in Candlekeep where you go to train to fight and one of them is I think Arkansis- he is a fighter and he has the same pictue as Kagain. This guy has 39 hitpoints and he is on level 2. Does anyone know if he keeps getting huge level ups if you hang on to him?

Probably using steriods. Seriously though, all the guys in that room are BS. Its just for training, don't worry. Though one of us IW people knows how to get these guys to join ur party Permanatly. I forget who.

Arkanis's extra HP is just a one-time thing--if you take him into your party, he'll gain HP just like any other Fighter with 19 CON. As far as the Illusionary NPCs go, Arkanis is one of the less-cheap ones. Nine extra hitpoints, whoopee. They do come in handy when you're starting out, though. The only one of them that's really cheap is Deder: He has 120 more Thieving points than a legal character with the same stats would have? Give me a break. The only ones I might take with me are Canderous and Arkanis.
