What does it do?

The theif abilty Detect Illusion? Is it useful I never really used it whenever I played a rouge.

It is a very solid ability. It is essentially True Sight every time your thief goes into detect traps mode.

So basically a Swashbuckler with some nifty detect illusions is like a fighter/thief with a nifty spell to prevent invisibility?

Detect Illusions is much superior to True Sight in one aspect. Being that it doesn't count as a spell, and therefore bypasses SI

No actually this is part of the find traps skill (was there in BG1 as well) and not "detect illusion".

Not really--well, you can, but only if you like Pausing every round, activating DI for a second, then attacking. It's not like True Sight, which remains active for several rounds (on its own) after being cast.

Needless to say, I dispelled most of the werewolves with detect traps on. Nifty [img]smile.gif[/img] Thanks for bringing this thread up, I never actually knew a use for DI
