I've done it with a Paladin before changed to a Cavalier for SoA/ToB. Currently in Chapter Three in SoA as a Ranger - IMHO doing it this way is far more rewarding, but you're right it is ALOT longer

Wow, that speed playing site gave some really new views. I just can't imagine how it is possible to play the game in less than a month (in character time) without reloads as I'm my self at durlags tower now and almost two months have passed (and needless to say I reload a lot as my guys die really often!)... Well, gues there are real Knights and then there are tourists like me...

I noticed I couldnŽt play it through another time because knowing what IŽd face, and exitement and unpredictability (is that even a word..) means a great deal to me. The magic had simply vanished. And it took me months anyway.

Try it again, but try and do everything different than last time....the magic might come back!

I like playing both BG1 and BG2 and I always take a new character through BG1 first - I get more attached to them that way. To keep things more interesting I choose different profesions and allignments and choose my action to match.

All in all I have been through BG1 6-7 times and BG2 4 times, with a thief/cleric and figther/mage wating for when I get around to playing again.
