Just for the record Minsc's beserk rage doesn't protect form imprisionment
Barbarian's don't also, but beserker's does.

I tried using Minsc's unsucessfully in my first run through the game a long time ago... And JKrASparov and Xen are correct protection from magic scrolls do protect form Kangaxx's imprisionment. That's the tactic I use myself.

Well I finally kicked his ass (YAY FINALLY ) but only thx to Minsc and his berserk rage so that must mean that his rage DOES protect from imprisionment since he tried to imprission misc several times, unsuccesfully =/........
Probably a bug. He is a Ranger. His Beserk does not protect from Imprisonment. Korgan is a Berserker. His on the other hand, does protect you from it.
Prove me wrong if you can...

Minsc's Berserking granting/not granting immunity to Imprisonment may simply be a patch/BaldurDash issue, or a "which version of the game do you have" issue.

i think you had mentioned in another post that its related to the demilich script, depending on the patch level will not cast imprisonment if the "state beserk" is active...

The DL in WK uses that script, and therefore won't even bother casting Imprisonment on a Berserked Minsc. Kangaxx, however, spits Imprisonments at whoever's standing close to him, and if Minsc happens to be on the front line, then he'll get Imprisoned, whether he's Berserked or not. (Except, apparently, in Xzirox's version of the game.)

My solo sorcerer is pretty high level now and has no problem with demi-liches. Here's what I do:

Cast Protection from Magical Energy
Cast Spell Reflection
Cast Energy Blades
Enter the Lich's lair
Cast Time Stop
Start throwing energy blades

It's pretty funny to see the amount of damage instantly caused on the lich when the time stop wears off and the energy blades hit him. Usually, it will get him down to "Badly Injured" and another set of energy blades will quickly finish the job.

Well I have a ranger/archer so that would just be a little hard

as for the problem with a full party
try to get the gaxx to the upper right corner of the map while he is in his first form and get your whole party except the protected guys (rage, spell immunity,...) to the entrance (=out of sight)
then you can hack away at Mr. Demilich without any problems.
