Do not spam, people. I have been very lenient regarding the issue of spamming with the two of you, Xen and Gangrell, but if this keeps up, you will be forcing my hand. :/ I have been receiving compliants.

Cheers.

Hey, Dundee, if you think that I'm spamming, feel free to reset my post count...it doesn't matter to me

Resetting a post count is meaningless, since it is not the post count we are concerned about, but the behaviour. Usually, if warnings and reminders are all ignored, the first major penalty for spamming is suspension.

UPDATED: Ranks and Avatars:
The little words under your name that appear on the board is your current Ironworks Forum rank. Ranks are an indication of how many posts you have made - NOT of board seniority. Spamming to gain rank will not be tolerated. You will receive 1 warning, then a Deduction in posts and rank.

Taken from "Rules and Regulations"

Oh well. In that case, I'll try to limit my spamming...at least it's less than what those two have racked up ^.^

Tho I must admit, at times I find the spamming amusing. But there are plenty of other spots on Ironworks to talk and have fun so I guess it IS a bit out of place here. Especially when poor (whoever started this thread) still hasn't resolved the issue of his/her experience not being rewarded.

I say clua yourself the xp, unless you were about to die when the glitch killed the dragon. If it was going to die anyway and you were obviously winning, I doubt that'd be considered cheating by most. You can always just credit the 14 points of mystery damage to some hidden power granted to you as a son of a god.

"I don't even need to strike the killing blow, my godlike powers will smite you even whilst I wipe your blood from my blade... and then I'm off for crumpets and tea."

What surprises me is that the thread has gone of for so long and had resposes from Dundee and now myself, without anyone knowing the answer. Well, let's go with what we do know:
  • If an enemy is killed by any creature friendly to the party (such as Summons, Projected Images, etc.), the party gets the EXP.
  • If an enemy is killed by its own attack that got bounced back at it (by Spell Turning, Cloak of Reflection, Shield of Reflection, etc.), the party gets the EXP.
  • If an enemy is killed by its own attack that was NOT bounced back (such as some stupid Mage standing around in his own Death Fog), the party does NOT get the EXP.
  • If an enemy is killed by somebody not allied with the party (such as an Amnish Guard helping you beat up some Muggers), the party does NOT get the EXP.
So, basically, we have five possibilities:
- The Dragon did something that caused its own death, whether intentionally or not.
- There is a 3rd party present (such as Yoshimo) who snuck in and scored the killing blow. (Hey, a great way for low-level characters to Level Up really fast! I went from Level 1 to Level 8 Thief in 10 seconds!)
- One of your party members (or Summons, or whatever) fired the shot or cast the spell that finished the Dragon off, but died before the Dragon did.
- Weimer scripted the Smarter Dragons to kill themselves. Unlikely, as this is the first time I've heard of it, and I've killed my share of Improved Dragons myself.
- You two have some funky bug.
