Multiplayer help please!

I wanted to know if and/or how I can set up a multiplayer game between my friend and I. I create the game, which has a name and a password, then I start it, and create my people, and begin in the dungeon with my people. I then tell my friend to join, but he says that it won't let him connect to multiplayer or something like that. He is using a 56k, and I'm using cable. Does anyone have any idea of what is wrong? I can try and get more details if needed. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Multiplayer in BG2 can be quite a pain to get working. First, your friend and you need to have installed the same patches, mods, etc. 2nd, make sure that your framerate is the same. 3rd, if you have a firewall, it might block users from accessing your game. Disable it to let people join. If all of these work out, then I'm sure that you can play multiplayer. Good gaming! [img]smile.gif[/img]
