as the lich didn't show up in the temple ruin (probably had a too low-leveled party), and also usually when I got back from the underdark, the shadow dragon was no fight at all, I decided to take on her earlier than I used to. my party was:

PC Mage 11/ kensai 9
Aerie Cleric 9 / Mage 11
Mazzy 9
Jaheira Druid 12 / fighter 9
Edwin 11
Yoshimo 11

it turned out to be quite tough as I have little idea how to fight her at this stage; it took me couple of reloads (once my stoneskinned PC with 90 hp got instantlly killed by her...had no idea what she did~~~~~) and some *new* discoveries [I wouldn't know when I take on her later on for usually she died quickly]= she can level drain us poor creatures and Mazzy, even at just level 9, won't be knocked unconscious by her wingbuff...

anyway...after we constantly lowered her magic resistance and dispelled her magic protection, Aerie finished her off with one fireball and Flamestrike (with Wand of the Heavens)...as the Flamestrike came down on her, the shadow dragon got toasted and burned into ashes (well...not dusty ashes, but her body was burned into black ash), becoming a "shadow" of her dragon form!!! For all the dragons I killed playing SoA and ToB (I've never killed the silver dragon though), this is the "ugliest" way I've seen a dragon die^_* are there other "fun" or "ugly" ending for these supreme, mysterious beings???

I chunked a dragon once. (Hit something so hard that it ends up with -10 HP or below, it breaks up into chunky little bits.) The graphics were unimpressive, but I believed that I sprayed dragon parts all over the place. Even stopped by a nice body of water to wash all the loot. (And the PC got a little something going with Kelsey at the same time, thanks to the flirtpack. Isn't that a nice thing to tell party members? "Hey, go wash off those gems. I'm just going over here to clean this big shiny sword." )

Yeah. While it's fun to chunk a dragon, something's missing when a kobold creates as much gore. Oh well. My personal favorite was casting a bunch of lower resistances on him, some greater malisons, and then killing him with a nymph...oh joy, I wish I still had the screenshots.

Dragon Statues are fun. Reload if you want the loot though.

Turning them into disintergrated dust is extreme too.

Lightning damage will char them the same way fire damage does.

Shatter them into ice cubes with a cold attack.

Punch them unconsicious.

Stack dozens of poison sources on them.

My personal favourite,

WOWOW...

guess usually it's my tanks who got the kill (though never get to break them into pieces), and so I miss out all these fun ending for dragons^_^

Polymorph dragon...that's humiliating~~

and I'd love to see them turn into ice cubes^_*

The ugliest way? Polymorph Thax'sysilliya into a squirrel, then lead her into the "safety zone" (those big areas to the sides where you can go, but the stone arches won't let her go), and Dispel it. She is now trapped in a space too small to spread her wings, and they will eventually atrophy and become gangrenous. Send in Aerie (properly buffed, of course) to deliver the coup de'grace by whining the poor beast to death.

Six, what kind of demon worshipper have you become? Turning Aerie loose on a poor trapped dragon like that? This is madness!! Oh well, no more dragon I guess. It'd sooner cast the deathspell on itself than sit through one of her whining sessions.
