Fall 2009 Design Contest

My mod is still in its egg... Looking forward to seeing the reviews (I did play most of them (Dinonykos' was a bit challenging, so I am perhaps mid-way through it). I wasn't able to open Manikus' yet, but I will try again later...

If we will put the reviews somewhere (like on a website), we can add screenshots and such...

Ahm - I wrote a short review for each design yesterday... but...

1. I am not sure whether or not I missed something: Are there tutorials from all of us somewhere?

2. Is it okay to make the reviews accesable for the public right away (as long as nothing is spoiled)?

Sorry, I won't meet that deadline by no means. I've made some notes on your design (where did I put them?), but haven't found the time to fully review the other two yet.

I didn't write a tutorial either... No matter what manikus said, I didn't see the point in repeating what I'd learned myself from his own, already existing and comprehensible tutorial.

Um, I remember Dinonykos's mod, Oliver's mod, Budzo's mod... was that it? I tried to open Manikus' mod, but failed

Four of seven possible contributions have been finished. I guess it is okay that I add my short review here. In light of Olivier's post above, I gave no marks for the tutorials.

Of course, I can and would like to give more comments to all contributions, but I did not find the time for a very detailled review...

Very nice reviews! I could write semi-reviews, except that I have only beat one of the mods so far and have been unable to run Manikus' yet

Perhaps we should upload the reviews to a website for greater access...

Yes, but I would wait a little bit before we do that. There may be some misunderstandings, e.g., as Oliviers just wrote in his pm, that his design is only named "The Lesson", not "The Lesson B"...

And I have still hope that one or another additional design will be submitted...

Ulp! I have been diddling away still, but, you know how it is...

I would add that Olivier's design made very good use of sound effects! (I had the opportunity to play with sound, and it was quite nice!) I would like to record my own sound effects now

Regarding uploads - well, I guess I would do it as html, so we could always change things later (to save server space )
