My Gnome kept dying so I got rid of him and made a Human Barbarian. Also added two more to the party. A dwarf and another Whiskah (because I like them) and that has helped me in battles.

F'Lokis Ra (hope that's how you spell it) was the hardest enemy yet. And he vomited on me a couple of times, which was a bit foul. But I got through and have met Scabban (weirdo), and talked to Nivius. So, hopefully I am well and truly on my way to saving the beloved Gael Serran.

Just met Harespia for the first time. I wish those nymphs would wear some clothes. Because 'only Harespia can give the answers you seek' I asked her about H'Thark, who I learned about with Gorthius before the Crypt. But she knew pretty much nothing. I'm guessing that because she is in the game she serves a purpose, so I'll leave her alive for now, but she and her kind are so annoying.

I am disillusioned by the oracles. First they say 'we see all, we know all' then I ask them something random and she says 'of that, I know nothing'. Anyway. Through almost to Ishad N'Ha. Met a spider on the way. Big and awesome! I saw a big snake head, assuming that is the entrance to the Serpent Temple, but it was closed. Found other entrance, couldn't be bothered going in. I'm off to visit the town now.

Do you have the Signet Ring (taken from the mummy at Nivius)? If you do then the Oracles will continue: You are the chosen one ...
Don't ask Oracles questions, let them talk until they open a hidden door to your left. It will take some time, be patient ![]() Without the Signet Ring, the Oracles stop at their "We see all, we know all" and they do not open the door. Asking questions: sure, you can, but wait for the door first.

They opened it when I said "destiny" so that worked. But after Ishad N'ha, not feeling like going to the Serpent Temple yet, I went out the other entrance and... had my first encounter with a salad. Needless to say my party died VERY quickly. Oh well.

Now have a barbarian and a warlock, stopped training my paladin so he could become a ninja. Almost defeated the salad, but not quite. Getting there, though.

I see you have become acquainted with the salads. I think everyone's first meeting with them ends in a similar way - don't be deterred. I'm not completely sure, but I think I managed to leave the salad confrontation until after I had already passed through Shurugeon Castle, which made the battle much easier. Beforehand, however, I did a lot of running away. Be sure if you do choose to run from them, that you don't lead them towards the gates of Ishad N'ha ha or you will not be enjoying the game for much longer. I didn't - I ended up having to revert to a much older game.

What works against salads: Merlin's Shield (level 5 Stone Magic, you can buy scrolls in the Mages Guild) plus high resistance to poison (the Snakeskin trait, Lizzards are born with it, one of your guys can get the trait in the Snake Temple). Merlin's Shield itself isn't enough - you get poisoned though but you won't die so quickly.
Note that the Algamesh Amulet is an equivalent of the Snakeskin trait. You are supposed to give it to Kerielle and get a potion from her but - you can give it to Kerielle and then buy it back from her ![]()
