Weird, 2 of my closest friends had to do the same over the last 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear that, Cloudy. May he rest in peace... and you peacefully. It's a hard decision to make.

Spent the day at the beach down here... didn't put on enough sunscreen, as it turned out, and the whole family can do a really good lobster impersonation. Had a great time, though...

Went on an airboat tour of the everglades yesterday... saw hundreds of alligators, a bald eagle, an osprey, countless birds (including a black vulture!), and an iguana... at the top of a tree! Apparently, he goes up there of his own free will....

Sounds like a mostly great day!

Woot! New avatars! The migration is underway...

Crispy critters here, though... we've got such *interesting* shades of red available...

Thanks Bungleau, it really isn't an easy thing to do, but you usually know when it's the right time and it certainly was for him. We're missing him, of course, and it's sad but we know it was the right thing to do and the right time to do it.

And the grey days are still with us...cold too. So send the sun up here, B! You won't miss it.. not with those sunburns!

Speaking of those not used to the Florida sun, just met some recent transplants from Mass. this weekend at my church. It was barely pushing 80F and they thought it was hot. I told them to wait till August. On the bright side, they didn't have to walk to the front doors. I was driving the shuttle this week.

Not sure myself DA. You may consider starting a thread for this question, since it might get lost if the posting gets heavy (still does on occasion).

Oh, and my sister in law started having contractions this morning. Not sure if it's "time" yet, but it's a sign things are starting to move.

EDIT: Tonight at 10:26pm Cailyn Emily was born to my brother and his wife. Don't know the length or weight yet, but she was born with a full head of hair.

Did a quick Google DA, and came across this link. Looks like you can hook it up to your computer and format the drive, then restore it.

And congrats, FSA! Not that you had anything to do with it, but the arrival of an heir to the family's fortune is an occasion worth celebrating!
