Default R.I.P. Khan...

Ricardo Montalban dies at 88

Quote:
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Ricardo Montalban, the Mexican-born actor who became a star in splashy MGM musicals and later as the wish-fulfilling Mr. Roarke in TV's "Fantasy Island," died Wednesday morning at his home, a city councilman said. He was 88.
I guess even Mr. Roarke couldn't live forever...

Rest in peace. Few things could break the typecasting of Mr Roarke, but I do believe Khan did it.

88 isn't such a bad run, and he had a pretty good life.

R.I.P. Ricardo.

Wonder if his coffin is lined with soft Corinthian leather?
Sorry -- I couldn't stop myself...

And since one death thread at a time is enough for me, so long to Patrick McGoohan, 80. Wonder if one of the cable channels will run The Prisoner as a marathon?

He will always be “Khan” to me. ( I hope I spelled that right).

I hated that “Fantasy Island” show.

I agree that 88 is “not a bad run”, especially for someone whom has experienced as much as he probably did. It’s the actors and famous people who die at 30 I feel bad for, not to say I want anyone to die that young, famous or not. I just mean that it is probable a lot of “famous” people have not had the opportunity to live a “regular” life before they reach 40 or so.
