Talk about being nitpicky and evasive( in a desperate attempt to win). [img]tongue.gif[/img] Viconia is the ONLY pureclassed Cleric in the game, but she is not the ONLY Cleric in the game.

I highly doubt people will give a flying heck about whether the Cleric they are choosing is pure or not, they are more probably interested in the statistics and/or the personality.

Besides... don't you think it is tragic that Viconia has to go by this definition of being "pure" in order to be the best "pure" Cleric? Well aside from the fact that she's "pure" (haha, right), you do have to take to notice that people look for personality and skills in the game considering the fact that it is a RPG. So that's why most people don't prefer Anomen and why there is an entire group on the net called the Anti-Anomen Society [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Yes, something that I have pointed out as well. I perfectly understand it when people prefer to take Viconia over Anomen due to roleplaying/appeal factor, but ho, ho, ho, watch me rant if anybody gets the misconception that Viconia is more powerful than Anomen.

In combat that is... not... *cough*... night-time activities.

and quoting about dundees post about imoen (this is the last post of mine on this thread,cause i think this discussion about vic-ano is going no where!): comparing anomen to viconia for its ApR and such fighter type things is just like comparing imoen and edwin with its ability to find traps, pick pockets and other thief like things, and saying imoen is a better mage than edwin! sounds extremely ridicoulous! Not really, Edwin has no thief abilities whatsoever. Anomen and Vic have fighting abilities, though =)

Hohoho... except the general opinion is that Edwin is a vastly superior Mage than Imoen, and in fact, is the second-best spellcaster in the game( excluding Mod NPCs), Aerie being the first.

Like it or not... melee combat is something that Clerics do too... and Anomen does it better than Viconia. Even spellcasting wise... Anomen is on par with Viconia. Then there is the issue of better HP, better saving throws, etc... ...

"Oh boo-hoo! I can only cast 9 level 4 spells compared to Viconia's 10! Riiiightttt... ..."

Of course Viccy has fighter abilities...she can bludgeon someone's head in with a hammer, can't she?

Everyone has fighter abilities; some just have better ones. A fighter doesn't have abilities, actually. All he can do is attack things. However, not everyone has thief abilities. Anyone can start a new character and attack a creature, but not everyone can find traps, go into stealth, pick pockets, etc.
