Default always something new - trivia spoiler

like the title says - there's always a few little things to surprise you in this game even for the dozen-th time of playing

you know that bit of the temple sewers / unseeing eye when you go past sassar(?) and down the stairs to where the [quest item] is kept in the temple?

well you know the bit at the start where the 3 spiders spawn when you walk on the ground? at the end of that room there's a statue thing with a container that has some gems and stuff - if you hover over the statue until you get a ? cursor then click you get a message and it spawns a wandering horror and two sword spiders (9K XP btw) over and over again . . .

weird

Not over & over . . . only 4 times. But yeah, it's weird. (Not as weird as a temple to the SUN god being built deep UNDERGROUND, though.)

It's more than 4. But yeah it's not infinite. Around 10 times or so.

Yeah, what *is* that? It's the same with the Umar Hills. You'd think a temple to a sun god would be built, you know, on a hill somewhere, with great crystal walls. Maybe that's why he didn't stick.

Nah, the game's just full of random crap that BioWare thought would be cool. What's with the Graveyard District being built directly on top of a gigantic bottomless pit? Etc.

You can fit more bodies in the graveyard that way.

Oh yes, Athkatla is certainly in shambles. The legislative power is held by a large and very inefficient bureaucracy, judicial power by an esoteric cabal of wizards, and executive by the Thieves' guild and the Church of Beshaba. Although magic is supposedly outlawed, the city is positively swarming with liches, including one hiding in the broom closet of an inn just next to the probably heavily guarded and used gates of the city. Vampires rule the night, and the three main churches are engaged in a constant low-intensive religious war with each other, while simultaneously using their authority to have all new religions utterly annihilated. In other news, the circus in now an extraplanar dimension pocket, a tanner is constructing a suit made of human flesh, yet another lich has returned in a huge interplanar traveling device to drink the blood of his last surviving relative, about half of the people buried in the graveyard still walk and slaver mobs are confident enough to assault a heavily armed party of adventurers in broad daylight. And then there's the elven mage who built a huge doom fortress with portals to other planes right below the market.
