Text always downloads quickly, no matter your connection speed.

But you're right, there's no need to quote the whole post. Just chop out the the snippets to which you'll be replying, and save people from re-reading the post all over again.

Soloing is practically for people who have played the game so many times that they even have the dialogs/story memorized in the back of their heads! So in order to stimulate their BGII experiences, they create a single character and see if they can finish the whole game without the help of NPCs.

Also always keep in mind: When you're invincible, you WILL be lonely!

Now all we need is a free image hosting service that requires users to download a spellchecker and use it X number of times before allowing hosting and requiring X number of uses to keep the images hosted. But that might just be an idle daydream born from one of my own pet peeves...

I tried a Wild Mage solo once. Made it through the dungeon okay. I lost my resolve when I met Anomen in the Coronet and later Kelsey in the government district. How do soloers steel their hearts against friendship and companionship? I get these guilty twinges when certain NPCs offer to join my party (like Keldorn and Mazzy) and I feel a strange sense of wrongdoing when I'm forced to let them go. Then there are folks like Jan and Nalia who I have no problems making suffer. (They have their moments, but they're like fireworks--15 seconds of light and magic and then they smell funny.)
