Firefox Issue
Why is it that Firefox and Explorer sometimes share history? I got Firefox when I learned that even my work at the credit union uses Firefox on their public-use computers instead of Explorer, and I assume it is because there really is something to the saying that it is more secure when visiting a wide range of websites. I use Explorer for sites I trust, but when I do not know if I can trust them, I use Firefox. However, some of my history of Firefoxing shows up in Explorer too.
How do I stop that?

Why not use Firefox for everything and be done with the infernal Explorer!?

Because Explorer does have a few advantages over Firefox still.
Maybe if they can give me everything that Explorer has in the future, I'll reconsider. But back to the question...

Go to the Firefox plugin download page and Download SafeCache and SafeHistory. If you're really paranoid like me you can even get NoScript.
If you let us know what features of IE you want in firefox we may be able to tell you if there are plugins for them. Edit: I don't know if it come from a plugin of plain Firefox, but under Tool there is an option to delete your history and all that. I think the default shortcut is ctrl+shift+del

Thanks for the tips. I did as you suggested, but they have not had any impact on the FF history leaking off into IE's history.
As for the options, I just realized tonight that it is probably my mouse software that is not allowing me the full functions that I want with FF. I sometimes set the right-click button on "close" to close a browser window when I am surfing. This option does not work on FF. Like I said, its probably the software not wanting to be compatible with FF. That is the most frustrating thing at the moment. I can't think of any other really pressing issues, atm.

In Opera you can set the keyboard and mouse shortcuts yourself.
 I really have no idea what could cause the history leaking. As an extreme measure, I suppose you could turn the history off entirely from firefox settings. Or just convert into a full-day IE user. I think they have managed to duplicate most of the more useful properties of Firefox.
