Upset Ok.. got a sinus infection.. wee.

Haven't really been this 'sick' since 1999 or so, so it feels even worse

A few days ago, I told ya I was feeling odd, dizzy, and my frontal cortex and temples had pressure. (And behind my eyes)
Also, had a constant really bad taste on the back of my tongue. (I guess, post nasal drip?) And a achy feeling with fatigue. Doc prescribed a 'Zpak' which is Zithromax Z-Pak (azithromycin) I'm on day 3 of the stuff, and still feel crappy--it comes and goes).

Is this normal? Does it take a while to clear up? It sure is annoying.. ugh. And ever now and then, I get the sharp headache 'flash' for just a second--if I turn my head a certain direction too long, and wow its scary--if the headache stayed, that is.

Anyway, I'm going to take it easy for a day or so.. just wondering how long I should expect to feel this way.

Thanks

Yes it is pretty normal, most people get some pretty severe headachs also. My wife suffered from sinus infections a lot it seemed like she was always on anti-biotics. She finally found out she had a deviated septum and had to have surgery. It is not a pleasent recovery but that was 10 years ago and not one sinus infection since.

Yeah, it's not fun at all.. ugh. This is the second one ever, and its worse than the first.. Guess I'll just have to wait it out, eh?

Chin up, Z. Unless that makes it worse of course. In which case, just hold it level or something.

Ugh, I feel your pain, Z. I tend to get them more often than I'd like and sometimes do the antibiotics, sometimes tough it out if it isn't too bad. Either way, not pleasant at all, I agree!

Zithro is a super tough antibiotic that should knock it out fast! Sometimes it makes you feel worse before you feel better though, so don't worry too much and just get rest and fluids and lots of Choc snuggles!

Yeah, It's interesting. Choc seems to know I am feeling bad, as he is staying real close to me--does it whenever I am sick or having back pain... Animals sense that stuff.. so cool.

Ugh, I hate sinus infections so much. But I get them alot because I have chronic sinusitis. I find sleeping a bunch tends to help.

Oh yeah! Being unconscious is probably the best part of it. It sucks so bad, I'd rather be sleeping.. regenerating..

I literally feel your pain. The headache flash is just a couple of steps worse than my normal day to day. However, on bad days, the "flash" lingers on and on and on...Usually 3-4 days worth of it. I can totally relate to the unconcious thing. Knocked out is my favorite state on those kinds of days. Get well, man.
