Sounds like we know the same people! Or at least it's not uncommon. I know some people who's marriage got messed up because of online MMORPG gaming and another couple with problems directly related to how long the husband stays online playing (every waking moment not at work) and a few people who used to post but now only come for an occasional peek at the MMORPG board and leave.

I agree with you about the new game issue, too. Whenever a new game comes out (non mmmorpg) we get an influx of posters.

Happy Friday, btw! I'm on half a day today and happy to be leaving the psycho I work with on her own. She's classic passive-agressive and likes to take out her hostility on me or occasionally the boss... LOL good thing for her she's about to retire!

Heya Vaskie! Missed ya, you know! How's life, the universe and engineering?

Married life is going pretty well, thanks! Still on offset work schedules, but hoping the hubby gets a better shift soon. Planning a trip in the spring to visit his folks and mine out west. It'll be the first time I've spent more than an hour in the same room with my inlaws other than the wedding. I figure it's about time! (they live on the other side of the country and I spent about that much time with them when I first met them on a visit to Nacht after we'd met)

well actually doing a PhD is much harder than I expected, but then again you could call me stupid for expecting it to be easier than hard, if you follow. I dont really get much help from my supervisor so it's like I'm looking around for stuff to develop but keep having ideas then seeing them published by someone else before I develop it enough to publish myself. Still, got 1 paper published and going to a conference in canada to present it, yeah baby

Vask, that's great! Even one pub so far is a good thing.

It's hard, I know...thus I left off at the MA. And I imagine in your field it's tougher, still, since it's a very busy one these days and things change alot in a short time.

Me, I'm just hanging in here, doing the married thing, trying to work, find time for family and friends and occasionaly whup an orc or two when I get some spare time.

Good afternoon, all. If NWN2 is as huge as I hope it will be, it may revive CRPGs. If not, there is always Dragon Age and The Broken Hourglass. MMorpgs, pah!
