As for this thread...

I do believe AMD will do great things for the ATI side, and they can only improve.

I don't mind if the card is called an AMD x1900, as long as it performs, that's what matters.

As for drivers, I have seen it as quite the opposite (and I know I’m not the only one) where ATI have had excellent drivers (aside from the mistake that was the x1800) and NVIDIA has had major troubles in the past with their publicity due to crappy drivers....

But anyways, after paying $5.4 Billion for a company, I doubt their aim is to bring their name down, and I’m sure the support will remain, though there may be issues in the beginning, as I’m sure things are not exactly "calm" in the ATI head office at the moment

EDIT: Spelling...
I made it this morning when I was bored, based on AOL.com except my blue isn't exactly the same as their background, mine is not as dark. The IE banner I liked the most is the "Take it..." one, btw.

I won't keep this sig for long, I've had my other one for what, years? I'll keep trying different sigs for a while.

...Makes me wonder about future compatibility between AMD(ATI) and Intel products, and what the future of the only independent graphics company (now, nVidia) will be. And whether AMD will develop nVidia incompatibilities.

It wouldn't surprise me at all.

Lovely state the industry is in, eh? Between HD-DVD vs BluRay, the ongoing (losing) battle between SLI and Crossfire, and this, well...it makes things confusing. I, for one, have no idea what my next computer will look like, as far as a product list goes.
