Ouch, when i did my exams a few years back i swear my anthology doubled its weight. My 'annotations' filled up every spare bit of paper . With LOTF you should have notes are specific vital chapters, so go re -read the odd chapter.

You guys are lucky! In Scotland we're not even allowed to take the poem / novel / drama / non fiction essay's into our exam! We have to learn everything we need in our heads!

Do you know the question beforehand?

Without a novel how can you quote and get above a grade D? You'd have to remember so many quotes relevant to every type of question.

No, the questions are random. There are 4 Drama questions, 4 novel questions, 2 short story questions, 3 prose non-fiction questions, 4 poetry questions, then more questions on films/TV Drama, that no one really does.

You get 1 hour 30 minutes to write two essays from the random questions, and you can only do one question per section. You have to remember all the quotes yourself and know the novel/drama/whatever inside out.

Bah, English in England sounds a breeze!

Bloody hell that sounds a bit hard.

Revision consisted of playing PGR3 and Fifa on the Xbox 360...ooops...

Thank God this is my only exam for two weeks.

Except RE on Friday, but that's only RE

Link.

Looks like people taking English might get a break in the exam - they always moderate upwards loads when there are errors.

Quote:
Reports are also coming in from teachers that AQA has been notifying schools of errors in an anthology of poetry and prose to be used in its English A syllabus exam on Tuesday morning.

These are said to include missing pages - more than 50 in some cases - as well as typographical errors or chunks printed upside down and back-to-front.

Good luck tomorrow everyone, I managed to pull myself away from Oblivion long enough to go over the Heaney & Clarke poems.
