Galactic Civilization 3 does not exist yet. Good thing you corrected that, otherwise they might find out that you downloaded that pirated alpha version of it before it was released. GalCiv2, however, is a spectacularly good game. Go buy it. Now. You won't regret it. It's better than Civilization IV.
As for StarForce, I shall refrain from further rants about the subject. Doing a search on my StarForce-containing posts will give you a few bits of information from me and other members.

Thanks for the links to the tools and the heads up, LZ! I haven't had time to see what's what there, just opened the pages but didn't get to read it all, but now I at least know where to look.

It's really awful that companies are doing this stuff and putting secret files on our machines that crash stuff!

StarForce is such a stupid idea really. I mean it creates alot of problems for legit buyers that most of the ones they try to battle never will experience. :S

Anyway, read the glop forum well, the StarForce implementation vary between coutnries on the same game. Germany seems to like it alot :S.

Many US copies doesn't have it while EU version may have it etc.

Personally I am thinking about buying Galactic Civ just to support a company that skips all this copycrap to show my support. Worst thing is that I may have to become a HoMM player due to the massive campaigning against Star Force
