After watching The Underworld what would you prefer if you had a chance to choose between these two races? I would be a Vampire.

Well, the obvious choice is a vamp. Because a werewolf cannot notrol his transformations, has only one transformation, and cannot think clearly during this transformations. A Vamp can turn into any animal (no, not just a bat) whenever he wants, and can control himself. So a vamp can be a vamp, or a wolf, at will.

Vampire can cast strong magic. Can fight pretty well with weapons ( sacred ) . And is nearly immune to anything while in mistform (m&m). So vampire win hands down.

Vampire... mainly for the mistical aura around them, as per the Lestat and his kin. Powers don't interest me as much as the sheer coolness factor

Vampires. I'm down with the sensuality and sexuality that surrounds vampires.
But I would miss garlic terribly...
