ok, so i make my character (thief) with the whole purpose to make him dual-class to fighter at level 11, as far as i know i have all the basic requirements for a fighter (above 9 strength) but it won't give me the option of dual classing!! is there some kind of rule about no dual classing after level 10 or something cuz im baffled

cheers

Read the Forum guideline and FAQ. You need 15 Dex and 17 Str to dual a thief to a fighter.

There is no rule about levls for dualclassing. As lng as you know that you cant use ur first guys attributes until you are 1 level higher than in the last class. so dualing after level 20 isnt a good idea unless you are soloing or have TOB.

Another thing to keep in mind when dual-classing: alignment restrictions. A fighter of lawful good alignment cant dual class to a thief.

If you are planning on dual classing, make your char at the start of the game and immediately check if youre able to dual-class. If the box isnt highlighted, you made a mistake along the line and have to redo.
