Memnoch stole my thread! Thief! Help, Thief! Just kidding ya Memnoch! I had a feeling your name was from Anne Rice. I've read most of her books, and the Memnoch one was a great one. Ever read any Brian Lumley? Greetings again Moiraine! My name has no significance to anything. Some of my friends call me Zekke, so I just added the "Lady" part to identify myself as a female. If we get a new board I think I'll change it to something else, I don't know. So sorry to hear about your past, Charlie. A lot of us get lured into drugs at an early age, especially if something traumatic happens in your life. You should be proud of yourself for finally getting out of it. Many never do. I'm not even going to get into my past experiences, they are extremely depressing. But like you, I survived and live a "normal" life now (well, except for a bit of alcohol now and then). I feel very lucky I had the willpower to stop for good. I still have a few friends out there that are still partying it up and broke as hell and no amount of talking to will change their minds. Anyway, no one on this board is going to hold your experiences against you I'm sure. If they do I guess they'll have to include me too.

Wow. I kinda feel silly after reading about how everyone else came up with theirs. I usually pull names from the book I am reading, but this time, I took my Magic Cards and flipped one out of the deck. It was a Black Knight. Which kind of fits with my RPG style of either playing a Paladin or an evil Cleric-Slaying Antipaladin.

Charlie, my thoughts are with you, man. Drugs are an evil monkey on your back. Good Luck.

Ok lets see

Arak - a name i used when playing MUD and PnP RP and really like the feel of it. Arak can be anything, good evil thief paladin but usually he is a Druid.

Modesty Blaise - great comic, runs as a strip in the daily paper here so i see her every day.

And last - Respect Charlie, thats not an easy struggle.

I was gonna say something sarcastic to the guys with perfect lives but i realised we all get what we deserve. What? me bitter? Nah!

Well, Im in a quake/quake2/diablo 1&2 clan called _max_ (Mangle And Xterminate, heheh)
www.clanmax.com
and evry member has to have a _max_ prefix in front of thir name

and RuSSkiE, well because i live in Russia (im 1/2 Gergian, (georgia, black sea, not america!)- ex soviet state in fact)

And we dont like *cool* names like Satan, Ninja, Terminator, becuase as a rule, the guy with the coolest name is the worst player, while someone with a nik like "Clive" will really beat you up!

so we stick to _max_Frenchy, _max_FactoR etc etc

I know its not imaginative, but i think up some good names for Bgate!

Who is Noldor?

"Alas poor Yorick...I knew him Horatio.."
from Shakespeare's Hamlet.

I've used this pseudo for many years in various chats but recently found I'm not alone.
Maybe King Lear, Iago or Henry would have been better.

Oh yeah, Migosh: Willow was a great film. I loved Madmartigan and have used it as character names in the past.
Ladyzekke why are you called Zekke by your friends?

Hey all,

I have been using my name ever since I have been playing D&D. I have always played a Paladin and I think it sounds good. I can't remember where I picked it up though, damn!

Hello Yorick, haven't heard from you in a while. My friends started calling me Zekke about 100 years ago when I was in high school. I dated a guy named Zack for a couple of years, and somehow someway we became known as Zekke and Zack. Very immature and stupid, but hey, highschool you know? Anyway, even after Zack and I broke up, Zekke remained. I haven't seen Zack in about 15 years. I bet he'd think it was funny though that some of my old friends still use the nickname. Actually I seem to gather a lot of nicknames. People just start calling me things. Currently my husband is calling me "Ted", his sister calls me "Rapunzel" and my cousin calls me "Winders". Where do these people come up with this stuff? At least Zekke sounds normal!

I remember I couldn't shake the name "big, dumb idiot" until I graduated. Bah.
