So this is what I am going through my senior year.

Being a Spanish Major I have only the following classes left to take:
Spanish Phonetics
Spanish Civilization
Spanish Elective (Business)
Enough hours to complete 30 semester hours by December. (Each class=3)

I signed up for all classes but one of my requirements. Civilization. The 300 level is taken in Spain, and not offered as a class. The only class I can take is a 500-level (graduate level) taught by a professor that I refuse to take a class from. Therefore, I have to go to another university in the fall on days that I am not at UNCG and take a 300-level (mid-level) from them and transfer it. I may have to drive all the way to Duke, a two hour commute. Anything to not take that course from that evil professor.

Besides that, I have one general education requirement to fulfill, which I will be taking online this summer through the community college. That leaves me open to fill in some 100-level courses (freshman level) to just take up some space. After looking at all my options, I chose both French and Mandarin Chinese as 101-beginner classes. I also signed up for a computer class that I think I can place out of and get full credit for by taking the final before the first week of classes is through + $10.00.

What a year I am going to have. Goodbye Ironworks! (I hope not)

You think your schedule is crazy? I'm a physics and maths double major taking these courses:
Semester 1:
PHYS310: Thermal, Statistical and Particle Physics*
PHYS311: Quantum Mechanics*
PHYS326: Classical Mechanics and Symmetry Principles*
MATH361: Partial Differential Equations*
MATH363: Dynamical Systems

Semester 2:
PHYS312: Applied Electromagnetism*
PHYS314: Condensed Matter Physics
PHYS381: Advanced Experiments in Physics and Astronomy*
MATH342: Applications of Complex Variables*
MATH371: Vector Calculus and Modelling*

where the ones with * at the end are the courses I have to take or are highly recommended (with and A- average) for entry into B.Sc(Hons) in physics. I have the same lecturer for both MATH361 and MATH363 and he is known for his extremely difficult exams (only 3 out of about 40 finished the MATH361 exam last year and he had to scale the marks up 20%). I also have a great dislike for the PHYS381 demonstrator. That course load is 140 points where 120 is the recommended amount and we only need to take 96 to be considered a full time student.

Likewise, with the caveat that although I speak french fluently, I really can't write very well.

I've only got 2 courses this semester, between hockey and the fact that I want to transfer to finish my degree, that's really the best thing.

HTST 381: War and Society from Napoleon to the Nuclear Age
SOCI 325: Introduction to Deviance & Social Control

I've found that by doing a course in one of the spring or summer semesters, I can get away with doing less during the main semesters, and it's way better in terms of focus, particularly on papers. Smaller classes, and more focused lectures, and the profs are usually really good.

Shadeoracle: my brother's in grade 10 (15 years old), and one of his friends, in Math 10 Pure (regular stream math basically,) is in a class where the average, before scaling, is 56%, so they had to scale it by about 20 points too. In grade 10! I've been in classes where scaling happens and I hate it. Although it is nice when your 84 on the final exam gets boosted to 106.

True_Moose: In year 13 (our last year of high school), the marks used to be scaled so that the average is about 56%. They made 46% a pass (if you get 46% you have almost no idea what your doing!) and only 15% of people got 66% or more which is an A. Now they use a downright awful NCEA system in New Zealand where my sister got 2/9 in a maths test once and passed! Btw, I am impressed you're taking history and sociology, I can't write an essay to save myself. Frankly, I hardly have to use complete sentences.

I think scaling is just a necessary evil. It's kinda cool when an A+ is 92% and you still get one. Two of my physics lecturers last year marked easy and I got marks like 95,96 and 98. (One lecturer taught two courses in case you were wondering).

Fun, fun, fun, then daddy took the T-bird away!

At least you have some 100's, and some electives to fill. I'm slacking this summer, and will only take the required basic communications Spanish. I really enjoy other cultures and language. It's not like I have Conversational German, and 14 years of German culture experience. No, no. I must take a 'Foreign' language. What really makes that red streak across my neck heat my blood, is the fact Spanish is the only fourin language they offer!

This semester I had two courses; a five-week course in Scientific Methodology and a five-week course in Political Communication. The next ten weeks I'll spend writing an longer essay on information warfare.
