Too much to mention it all but a few things: Hubby gave me pink sapphire/diamond earrings, a dvd burner and some Christmas dvd's and music (carols), I got movie passes from a friend, gift cards to various places, a new hand mixer, a lovely scarf, candy and chocolates.

Finally got a nice 5.1 surround sound speaker set for my Alienware, and MAN.. games are new again! World of Warcraft actually made me jump when I heard this hiss from being me. choc even looked back! I got the Logitech 5500-x or something.. very cool. rivals my Yamaha 6.1 system in the livingroom.
Was supposed to get a Dishnetwork DVR-HD Reciever, but they are on backorder. no worries. I can't wait to get HD feeds. And other little stuff.. loads of EBworld gift cards, so I can get some games that come out soon--nothing really out that I want currently... I want Oblivion, and the WOW Expansion mainly, then the Might and Magic, Dark Messiah and the Witcher! (and of COURSE, Neverwinter Nights 2) [ 12-27-2005, 07:12 PM: Message edited by: Ziroc ] |

Yeh, they are cheap finally... I've had the same 2.1 speakers since my waaay old Dell in 1997 So I figure its time to upgrade. The volume knob was broken too.
So what do you do for gaming?? PC Speaker? [ 12-27-2005, 07:24 PM: Message edited by: Ziroc ] |

5.1 is the way to go on PC. I've had it for sometime now, and I must admit it fairly helps my killing in CSS.

But I have noticed that often times the Xbox doesn't give me the 6.1 sound, it just uses 2 speakers and the subwoofer. Also with the cable, watching movies some don't give me the full surround sound, Bourne Supremecy I watched on a movie channel the other day and it just gave me two speakers. Do you know why that might be? [ 12-27-2005, 08:18 PM: Message edited by: Sir Goulum ] |

Various FCUK products? Hmmmm
Also, I got LOST Season 1. And let me tell ya, they did it RIGHT with this transfer. True Widescreen with Dolby Digital 5.1. I Was expecting it to be fullscreen. awesome, it fills our entire screen, and sounds AMAZING compared to normal broadcast TV. we're rewatching each one. The only thing that would have made it godly is if they added DTS sound. But it wasn't in theaters.... sooo... Love it though. Choc got catnip and toys. he's still stoned from Christmas day. |

Stoned kitty... reminds me of a time that I went to visit my girlfriend at the time. We went shopping and picked up a small can of cat food for her cat, Salem, as a treat.
Unfortunately, neither of us paid much attention to Salem until a number of hours went by and someone remarked that he'd been in the same position on the couch for a long, long time. Upon further investigation, we had not purchased cat food. It was cat treats, with catnip as the primary ingredient. And it was supposed to contain a 30-day supply of treats... Salem was stoned out of his gourd. He was mobile again by the morning, but man.... ... did he have a *mellow* afternoon.... ![]()
