I'm sure you'll get a pet tarantula in the future, if you don't already have one.

I think everyone has some phobia of failure and unrealised dreams. But not to the extent that my mind takes it. I was kinda waiting for this thread to wade into deeper waters (bad pun) before i brought this up. I don't like using the word "low-lives" but i know many in the generation above who fit the shoe and it scares the hell out of me thinking about the very real possibility of becoming one. I think it ties in with my public humiliation fear. The thought of people in generations to come looking at me in the way i look at some in the generation above. I don't want to become that weird loner. Or the dole-bludging drug @#$%d loser with a brood mare missus. I'm kinda bumbling through life at the mo, knowing that i'm gonna achieve something - but that something can wait 'til tomorrow. Alarm bells are ringing. Know what i mean?

Same. I've been working on the belly button trick lately but it usually results in bloodshed!

I'm scared of things that might jump on me, like grasshoppers or toads or huntsmen. It isn't a phobia because I don't really avoid stuff and it doesn't impact my life but I really don't like them.

Now There's a scary thought.
There's an advert on TV in Australia (possibly elsewhere) in which a guy and a girl engage in a contest to remove bottle caps with bits of their anatomy. The girl wins with the belly button trick but you don't actually see it. You just see the bottle going under the bar and then *psssshhht*...

I'm like:

Then honey stands up with a cap in her belly button and it's like

I have no idea whether this is even possible but every now and then (uaually after a few) i get it in my head to try.

Yeah if seen it. I rekon Carlton Draught ads or that one where there talking about the typical Aussie pub about 'Shout Politcics'.

My fear is at a party and your waiting to let one loose in the toilet but you have all these people outside and your afraid they might hear it.

My fears...
Being helpless in helping a human being and have to watch them die. (have had nightmares about it several times)
Be a disapointment to someone I respect (already happened to many times in my life).
Get old and become a burden on someone... (shoot me before I have to use adult dipers, please...)

These two are always together for me: To disappoint others (especially my family); and to fail my dreams. Although it seems cliché, it is a relentless truth.

P.S.: I don't like beer...
