LOL - the Weagles failed at the final hurdle. Just goes to show that even a fantastic midfield and defence can't always offset a totally dysfunctional forward line. When is West Coast going to invest in trying to get themselves a target man again. No Troy Wilson or Scottie Cummings type - hell, even the ole "Spud Grower" (Peter Sumich for the uneducated) would have been a star in the current forward set-up.

The good things are that the Weagles remain with only 2 premiership cups (still trailing my mob) and that the girls in the canteen at work would have made my life hell if their team had fallen over the line.

On the rugby league topic - who would have thought that the Cowboys would put Paramatta to the sword like they did today. It's a repeat of a couple of years ago when the Saints thrashed the Storm in the semi's, but Melbourne romped home when the teams met again in the decider.

Go Cowboys -I wonder if I could get a ticket and a flight?

Nah the cowboys don't have a chance against the mighty tigers. History will not be repeating itself next week.

Both Parra and the Cowboys played an awful first 20 mintutes with their ball control.

That's the rugby and the cricket done with. All we need is for you to qualify for Germany and we'll have put you firmly back where you belong.

Never mind Memsies - you still got that swimmy bloke!

D

Oh - and we're also world champions at taking the piss out of Aussie Losers!

Who would have thought we would have seen the famed pastry participating in a footie discussion - and by that I mean real footie . I wonder what it was that managed to rattle his cage enough to draw him forth - did somone mention coffee or jam and cream centers ?

I would love to have the opportunity to silence him by asking him how his soccer side is going - only trouble with that is that they are my soccer side at well (sigh). Still - Henry must be due back any week now.

Soccor isn't footy! It's plainly guys trying to get umpires to give other players yellow cards! Oh well.. Anyway, Eagles lost by how much? 4 points, exactly, and we couldv'e won if we kicked that goal! Plus we lost our best player (well.. second best) in the first quater. Swannies havn't got the thick skin as us Eagles do how many got sent off for blood rule?

I don't subscribe to the theory that "you have to lose one to win one".

That's bollocks, I say "you have to win one to win one" . The mighty Lions started their dynasty from their first ever GF. They were good enough, but the Weagles this year just weren't up to it (huge grin) .
