These days, I try to game (and kill things), play drums (physical force and activity), or take many, many deep breaths.

Years ago, I used to grab a pair of nunchucks and start swinging 'em around.

It's amazing how you forget about almost everything else when there are two pieces of aircraft aluminum (aluminium for you others) whizzing around your head and other favorite body parts. Your focus is entirely on the sticks, and on making sure they stay where they are supposed to.... or else

For a really serious issue, I'd do it in the darkest area available. Spinning metal or wood that you can't see... man, does that change your attitude!

I tried meditation but it didn't help.Vent my anger on people, things and such didn't help but make matters even worst. Tried to relief myself by visiting interesting sites but it makes me more frustrated instead. However, I've found out that pacing aimlessly in the room staring blankly at the floor actually helps! It makes me tired and I go take a nap and walla! When I wake up the anger is gone!

Get yourself a punching bag and go to town

Failing that, a pillow or mattress makes a good substitute :3

I once punched a dent in a metal closet. Felt relieved after that, but I had a sore hand for a week. It took two weeks to heal completely when I tried the same trick on a tiled wall

Adrenaline is indeed a wonderful thing

May I suggest Martial Arts classes? Not only are they great for venting, but they teach you to control yourself better.

I agree; I play Djembe, which is an African drum, and whenever I feel angry I just go and pound on it for as long as it takes to relieve my frustration. It works wonders.

I have a djembe at home as well.. Well, not a real one. The one I have is more like an art object I bought when I was in South Africa. I still like to play a beat on it every now and then though

I've got a drum book on taking African drum rhythms and translating them to drum set. I've gone through the first two pages of it so far, and it's taken months It's all about sending your four limbs on different rhythmic paths... that'll take your mind off anything!

'Course, after a short while, it can get really, really frustrating, too

Physical activity is the key. Hop on a bike and do hill climbs, or just do pushups. Try visualizing pushing down on whatever it is that is making you angry.

Meditation is ok, but IMO you have to tire your body out a bit first. Anger produces adrenaline and you have to get rid of it somehow.

After many years of doing similar stuff that has been posted, I've come upon the most overlooked and quite complete therapy of all.

I no longer get angry.
