In BG2 you could press the 'tab' key to highlight containers and stuff lying on the ground (useful when the bodies of the monsters you have slain are obscuring the loot they dropped). Is there a similar key in BG/ToSC?

No I'm Sure there isn't - It comes in real handy in BG2 though

I can confirm that, there is no key like that that I know of in BG.

Nope there is no that kind of key in BG1. And in BG2 it cames avaible when ToB installed if I remember right.
