However, I'm surprised no one said to the guy with the dog puppet: "Well I'm not the one with a f***in dog puppet on my hand doing fake eastern european (or whatever) accents following star wars geeks around", that's what I would've said

The spock guy looked even more ridiculous - so what you guys are saying is that all it takes to get your respect, despite looking like a fool, is to flip the bird at star wars fans?

Simple flipping of the bird to SW fans is nothing. But doing it alone to a few hundred restless, sun-baked fanatics is a feat that deserves respect.
